Industry 4.0 and 5.0 in Phenome: definitions that can be checked on a deployment

Here 4.0 means that data passes between systems through contracts, without retyping, file exports or e-mail. A product variant is computed once, and the same data drives the quote, the order and the production files. From one frozen configuration the Odoo 19 demonstrator creates an order with six files, the PDF quote among them.

Here 5.0 means that decisions stay with people: an exception goes to a named role in the company and is never accepted by default.

It also means that any system can be replaced without rebuilding the rest. The replacement test, built together with the rest of the conformance suites, will check this by running another implementation of the same role through the same suite.

Nothing in the platform ties a company to one vendor. The geometry kernel and Phenome Link have public code under the MIT licence, and the handbook of contracts is to be published under the same licence.
